Travel Consultations and Immunizations
Are you travelling soon? Make sure you’re prepared! Come walk in at the University Health Centre for a travel consultation and have your prescriptions filled at the University Health Centre Pharmacy.
Why come for a travel consultation?
A travel consultation allows one of our physicians to assess your immunization needs prior to travelling. If you’re heading to a foreign destination, you may need to be immunized for a communicable disease like Yellow Fever.
Don’t spoil your trip - drop-in today for a travel consultation and avoid falling ill.
PLEASE NOTE: travel consultations are offered on a walk-in basis only. Please bring in your childhood immunization record when coming in for a travel consult. The University Health Centre can be found at 2-200 Students' Union Building and is open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Let one of our pharmacists refill your prescriptions before you leave, so you don’t run out during your trip. The University Health Centre Pharmacy can be found in the Students’ Union Building, on the main floor (in the back of the Bookstore).
Yellow Fever Vaccine Available
The University Health Centre is now able to provide yellow fever vaccine for those travelling to regions requiring the vaccination. Please visit the University Health Centre to meet with a physician and complete your travel medical today!
A travel consult, immunizations and follow-up visits take time. Be sure to complete your consult well in advance of your trip!
Please note that travel consultations and immunizations are not covered by your provincial health care plan. As such there is a fee for this service.
